Have a fashionable Christmas!

Christmas is fast approaching. And then it's New Year's Eve! There will be family dos, work dos... So many chances to dress up and lots of outfits to plan! It can get very expensive this time of year. After you've got the presents, how are you expects to look amazing when you're completely skint! (Even worse if you're a student!)
Well, a sullotion could be the Fashionably Skint app! Ideal for this time of year. You can't wear the same dress more than once to all these parties! So why not borrow one from a fell skint girlfriend?
Easy and free unlimited wardrobe; what more could you want?
If you're struggling for ideas her are some of the outfit I'll be wearing;
Of course we've got the cute and cheesey Christmas jumper! I got this from Primark for about £10 and love it! So cute and great for a festive casual lunch or meet up! I have loads more jumpers to as I always borrow my mum's Christmas jumpers too!
This time of year also means I'm breaking out the Christmas socks too! These were a gift for me from a friend last year; found in TopShop. A simple way to bring the holidays to your outfit.
I also got these cute pj bottoms from Primark, ready for Christmas morning when I give my family their presents :) till now I've been borrowing my friends pj bottoms similar to this cause I loved them so much I'd steal them at sleepovers!
This is literally my new favourite top from Topshop. It cost me about £50 but if I could have borrowed it from a friend on the Fashionably skit app, that money could have gone towards more presents! It's perfect for a pub or going for some drinks, depending on how you accessories it.
This gorgeous sequin skirt was a bargain! I got it for £10 at Clothes Show Live this year and I'm thinking I'll save it for a Christmas work do or a dinner. Very festive and girly! I think I will borrow a black top from my friend for this outfit; save myself a bit of money!

Those are just some ideas, I will post what I decide to wear on these events over Christmas! Happy Holidays everyone! Thanks for reading

Clothes Show Live

I love this outfit; comfy yet totally on trend
My goodies!

Well, it's been a week since I went to clothes show and I just had to tell you guys about everything I bought and saw!
For starters, my outfit I chose was some light blue denim, high waisted jeans, paired with an oversized top that I got from a charity shop for £1 (bargain, right!) with a vintage chunky patterned, oversized cardigan I got from eBay. I had my creepers, my bowler hat and my furry brown handbag, perfect for autum and winter outfits. The final touch was my white frilly socks to bring some girliness to the outfit.
I got a huge bundle of items, I got goodie bags from Rimmel London and Barry M, found myself a gorgeous gold sequin skirt which I will talk about more in my next post, a floral print, fitted Amy Childs dress and a vintage silk blouse. I can't wait to pair the blouse with jeans and my bowler hat with my trusty creepers for a grungy look! I also was convinces to get some cute colourful heels as there were only £5! But they really are super cute and will brighten up plain outfits.
Going back to the makeup side, I got a starter kit from bareMinerals which is fantastic when on, feels like you have no make up on but makes a huge difference to skin appearance. I also got a HUGE hair bun that I will likely use soon to show how big it truly is! It's from the Lauren's Way range and gives a Audry Hepburn inspired look which looks great on those who can pull it off! I got some nail art kits from Ciaté which came with jewels, caviar kit, felt to make velvet nails and plain polishes; perfect for Christmas or any parties!

Sorry for not posting often but I will be posting again soon! I promise!

Black and Gold!

Pretty sky!
Cute selfie with my brother :)
My epic fail..
Heaven.

Well I was meant to post this on Wednesday, but been really busy so here it is now. Wednesday was a pamper day for me. I started the day with a trip to the gym and worked out for an hour or so; pampering your body is important!
After that I hit the showers and went home to pick up my mum to do a bit of shopping. I wore a stunning textured jumper I treated myself to on my first pay day at my new job. It is quilted texture on the body but the sleaves are fur. I paired this with my new black high waisted jeans that I got on eBay for a bargain, black boot heels and a gold chain necklace that I treated my self to with my Flash Trash money off voucher I got from the Fashionably Skint launch party and finally my trusty armour ring for an edgy touch.
It was nice having some time together considering we both work all the time. I got stuff for my room which I will likely blog about when my room is finished :) - oh and a side note the sky was gorgeous on our way home!
When we got home we all had McDonalds (I know, don't judge me, but it just tastes so good!) and then I took my brother to the cinema to see Thor- The Dark World. Aside from the fact I was in the cinema for about 10 seconds before I dropped my popcorn everywhere, the film was amazing! Hilarious, exciting and really entertaining!
To round off my day, when I got home, I got in my PJs and curled but in bed with a bar of Galaxy and the latest issue of Vogue.
You have to do something each day and make it count - you know, YOLO and all that..
Anyway thanks for reading guys and hope to post again soon!

I'm Fashionably Skint!

The FashSkint girls
My friends and I at Lola Lo
Me with the founder of Fashionably Skint
My cute goodie bag; love!

Sorry for not posting in a while, been so busy with work but Monday the 4th November was the long awaited Fashionably Skint launch party at Lola Lo! And what an amazing night! I wore a lace floral bralet paired with my denim skater skirt and nude high heels as shown in the screen shots of the Fashionably Skint app above. I went with some of my new friends from work and we got free entry as we were fans of the app! We got in and not only were the drinks cheap but we got amazing Fashionably Skint goodie bags with exclusive money off vouchers for sites like Fake Bake, Flash Trash and Motel (and some sweets)!
The FashSkint girls were all in their gear and I finally got to meet the founder Amanda Baker! Lovely girl, amazing app, amazing fashion! I've said it once but I'll say it again, a free app to get access to hundreds of free clothes from girls on your uni campus or in your local area; free fashion... Always a good thing I think as I know how hard it is to look amazing when you have no money to buy new clothes..
Hoping to post more often, got lots of new clothes to share with you all and I hope you like them as much as I do!

A bargain trick or treat

It's coming up to one of my favourite times of year, no, not Christmas, Halloween! I love dressing up so I of all people know how expensive it can be. But I have found borrowing and making can be so much cheaper! Her are some ideas from what I have done in the past.
A simple one to start with; dead school girl. This is a classic if you're on a budget. I simply work a shirt, shorts and tights and ripped them to look undead, fake blood at the ready I covered myself and then to add a twist, using Spirt Gum, I stuck a opening zip to my face to look like my face was being unzipped. Simple but effective and cheap to do too!
Next is one of my favourite villains; Poison Ivy. This was easy to do too. I borrowed the tights from a friend and I also borrowed the red wig too. The rest of the outfit was got in a charity shop and decorated with the help from Hobby Craft. The key to rounding this off was the green eye makeup, bright red lips and the detailed green vines up my arm, neck and cheek. Again simple but very effective and cheap- plus I won best dressed at a party for this!
Another super simple costume; a creepy doll. I put my hair in messy bunches, put on a blue pinafore dress and lots of black eyeliner! If you look closely at the photo I have got indents or "cuts" on my cheeks, this was created with Rigid Collodion which when dry, creats this effect! This is so easy to do, just borrow a dress and go crazy with the black makeup!
Finally, here is me as Natile Portman from The Black Swan film; this was last year. I borrowed the leotard and ballet shoes from a friend and added tights to get the ballerina look. My mum and I made a tut from black netting and the breast pieces that decorates the leotard was made by myself and then stitched to the leotard. We also made a tiara by just using a hot glue gun to make a latise out of the glue, sprayed black with jewls and then attached to a clip. To round it off I added dark feather inspired eye makeup and red contact lenses; I even won best dressed girl at my school social!
Borrowing cloths can be hard but necessary when you're skint. The perfect app for this is Fashionably Skint. It's easy to find clothes not just for costumes but for nights out too; ideal for students! Definitely get this app, you get to socialise with others at your uni or in your area and also get to have lots of choices of what to wear; sounds ideal to me ;)

My chicken, bacon and mozzarella burger with chips and salad (amazing)

My "Cool Cookie" ice cream sundae

My dad doing his Miley Cyrus impression with his ice cream!

After about 9 years, Sunday was our last ever time at our caravan as we have had to sell it this year. It's been quite emotional actually; didn't think a static caravan could become a home to me. We decided to go to a carboot in the morning (I was hoping to find some vintage clothes, but I was unsuccessful). Me, my mum and my dad then walked my dog (Jinni) at East Beach. Though it was windy, it was still very pretty. It actually inspired Cotes' Sleepy Lagoon.
We then had to pack up our stuff and we decided to end the day at our favourite place to eat in Selsey town and that's The Riviera. I stuffed my face, I'm ashamed to admit but it was totally worth it. We said bye to Bunn Leisure and then head home. This post might not mean much to you readers but saying bye to our caravan in Bunn Leisure was hard to do for my family. But, things change, I'm sure something better is coming on the horizon.

Celebrations

My amazing new shoes :D
Me and my brother with our hot dogs in Chichester :)
My makeup for my mum's birthday dinner (notice the Time-Turner from Harry Potter!)
My 90's inspired outfit outside Frankie and Benny's
Cosmopolitan ;)
My Cajun Chicken Calzone
My awesome parents <3
Eton-Mess Sundae
Me and my brother again

Well I was too tired to post this last night so I'm posting tonight instead! This weekend was our last ever weekend at our caravan of 8years down at Selsey. So as it was a goodbye and it's my mum's birthday on Monday, we made the most of it. Yesterday, we started the day with a shopping trip to Chichester town and I bought some gorgeous black ankle boot heals from New Look, I love them and I am literally going to wear them every day! We also saw these awesome street performers/buskers called Steel and Strum, check out this clip here: http://tinyurl.com/steelandstrum
We then grabbed a hotdog.. So good.
After we got back I dressed up a bit for our meal at Frankie and Benny's. I wanted something that was elegant but had a bit of edge to it. I chose a white shirt and paired it with a navy blue lacy high waisted skater skirt; looking super cute with my side plat and gold and nude/natural colour eyeshadow colours I used. To make my outfit more edgy, I added some fishnet tights with my new boots and added red lipstick, gave it a bit of a rock feel I think. I also chose to add my gold Time-Turner replica from Harry Potter to go with the gold buttons on the shirt to complete the outfit. Also, the bag in the photo I've got on my shoulder is my baby, I use it everyday.
The meal was amazing, and the cocktail I had was so delicious! I always recommend Frankie and Benny's for a celebration outing.
After the meal, we rounded off the evening with a trip to the cinema to watch Richard Curtis' new film "About Time". Such an inspirational film and wonderful story lines, I would love to watch it again. Definitely go and see it! Such a lovely day over all :)

Wrecking ball; mess? Or art?

Another short and quick post but I would love to get opinions. Miley Cyrus' new music video has gained a lot of negative views. But, it was directed by one of my heroes; Terry Richardson. The video falls in line with his normal work which is all controversial and I love his work because it provokes emotion and reaction. Compared to a lot of his work, Wrecking Ball is probably pretty tame.
However, the issue people have is that she used to be "Hannah Montana" on Disney Channel and it's not what kids want to see. But, everyone changes and grows up. She's not trying to push Disney away, it's just part of how she has matured. One of her biggest idols is Lady Gaga (another person who I adore). She is known for provocative and shocking outfits people have adjusted and expect this now, maybe it's time we accept Miley as this too?
I personally think the video is brilliant, but I am bias so please, feel free to comment on what you think of the video :)

Stinking of roast dinner... Lush..

Well, it's a quick post tonight, worked my first shift at my new job as a waitress, tomorrow I'll be on the bar... It's hard to be stylish and attractive when you stink of roast dinner... But, black is slimming.. I guess... At least I'll be able to get lots of new clothes with all my money that will come in, so that means more to blog about! Yay :D
But for now, I'm off to bed, nunight, hopefully tomorrows post will be more interesting :)

Tasty treat

Me with my Mars bar milkshake as big as my head!
This was my M&M chocolate waffle with vanilla ice cream
This is my friend's Bannoffee crepes
My other friends customised Nutella with strawberries and vanilla ice cream waffles
And finally my friends strawberry and butterscotch waffles with whipped cream

Well, today was a long day, even though I only woke up at 12 (I'm becoming so lazy) but I got up and I decided to wear my new vintage jumper from Arrow and Eva with some old denim shorts and tights (because it's cold and raining in England). I paired it with my new white lacy socks and my new creepers that I got for a bargain on eBay! I chose to have dark makeup, not just because I love having dark makeup but also because it looked amazing with the dark colours of the jumper and my dark hair for a winter look!
After I had to go to the dentist I drove three of my friends and myself to Creams in Slough which is a place that only serves desserts (I know, heaven!) I've posted photos of what we all had and what it was called but my goodness, this place is amazing! And not too pricy either; I highly recommend it!
After all the sweet food we felt we needed some savoury, so of course, what better place to go than Maccy Ds! We had a cheeky happy meal and then headed home. I have posted where I got the clothes in the images above, and if they aren't available, I have posted similar looking items. Thanks for reading!
